A System of Care is an approach to services that recognizes the importance of family, school, and community, and seeks to promote the full potential of every child by addressing their physical, emotional, intellectual, cultural, and social needs. CHSC's System of Care includes:
- Clinical Services: All Iowa children and youth with special health care needs are eligible to receive gap-filling clinical services through one of CHSC's regional centers.
- Care Coordination: CHSC programs work with families, local providers, and stakeholders to access services and supports.
- Family to Family Support: CHSC's Family Navigators provide families with individualized problem solving and emotional support.
- Systems Building: CHSC works to build local partnerships and expand available supports for Iowa children, youth, and their families.
