Title V Block Grant

The Maternal and Child Health Title V Program is a partner in Iowa's investment to improve the System of Care for children and youth with special health care needs. This program was enacted in 1935 as part of the Social Security Act to promote the health of children and pregnant women. CHSC administers Iowa Title V Program for children and youth with special health care needs in partnership with the Iowa Department of Public Health. For every $4 of MCH grant funds from the federal government, states must provide at least $3 in matching funds.
