CHSC's Registered Dietitians provide families a nutrition assessment at a provider's request with follow-up care coordination as needed. CHSCÂ also facilitates nutrition-focused system building activities including training and education on topics specific to children and youth with special health care needs.

Food Insecurity
Food insecurity can impact all families, especially those of children and youth with complex health needs. This presentation reviews data from the National Survey of Children's Health in Region 7 Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri. and Kansas from 2016, 2017, and 2018. It explains factors that contribute to food insecurity and the need to advocate for food insecurity screening for children with complex health needs.
